Smithville ISD is excited to introduce our new ACE Coordinator, Mrs. Danette Perez!
Mrs. Perez was most recently at Del Valle ISD, where she was serving as an ACE Site Coordinator on one of their campuses. “This is my third year as a Site Coordinator,” said Mrs. Perez, “but being able to work in my own community is such a blessing!”
She is married and has two beautiful children, four horses, five dogs, and two cats. She is an animal-lover, book-lover, and enjoys photography, reading, and antique shopping in her spare time.
The Texas ACE (Afterschool Centers on Education) program provides no-cost activities before and after school and during summer for students in Title I schools. The program is federally funded and administered on the state level by TEA. Smithville ISD currently provides ACE services to over 100 students in grades K-5. You can visit TEA's Texas ACE webpage for more information on the program.
There will be a “Meet the Coordinator” event on Friday, September 29th for our ACE families to meet Mrs. Perez in person. Please join us in making her feel welcome at SISD!
