The recent school closures brought to light that some of us may not have all the communication tools that SISD has to offer, or know where to look for important information about delays, closures, or other changes to the schedule. Important information is sent out in multiple ways, including texts, SISD website feed posts, Facebook posts, Push Notifications through the SISD App, and phone calls. If you feel like you are missing these notices, this is a great time to make sure your information is current:
Has your number changed? Your email? If so, make sure you contact the campus registrar to update that information in your child’s profile.
Have you downloaded the Smithville ISD App to your phone? For important information, like a school closure, we can send Push Notifications through the App straight to your phone! You can choose to only receive messages that pertain to your child’s specific campus, or to receive them all! The app can also be translated into your preferred language.
