For the 2nd year in a row, A+ Federal Credit Union has donated $1000 in support of SISD's Hungry Tiger Fund!

Each year, the District has over $10,000 worth of lunch debt that has to be covered in some way. The Hungry Tiger Fund was started several years ago by Child Nutrition Director, Candy Biehle, as a way to help "fill the gap" for people who were not able to make their student's meal payments.

"We are never going to NOT feed a child. They are our priority," said Mrs. Biehle. "But sometimes there are circumstances where the parents just can't pay for lunch, but they also don't qualify for free or reduced meals. The Hungry Tiger Fund allows me to contact those parents who are struggling and let them know that they don't have to worry anymore."

Anyone can donate to the Hungry Tiger Fund by contacting Mrs. Biehle at 512-237-2487 (x.7895), or you can donate online by registering through our Lunch Money Now! website.
