Smithville ISD is proud to announce the hire of the new ESL/Bilingual Liaison for the District.
Victoria Buentello was hired in January, following a period of the ESL position being op. SISD is thrilled to have this program back in place for our ESL/Bilingual students. Mrs, Buentello has already hit the ground running getting programs in place at all the campuses.
Mrs. Buentello is the mother of a Smithville ISD 2nd grader, Emillee, and also has two outgoing, energetic little boys, Micah and Marques, Jr. She and her husband, Marques, recently relocated from Edinburg, TX to be closer to his work and her family! She is a 2015 graduate of Edinburg Economedes High School and a recent graduate of Colorado Technical University, where she earned an associate degree in Science of Business Administration. During her spare time, she enjoys getting together with family and friends, and works a part time position at the Smithville Rec Center.
"I look forward to working with the staff and students of Smithville ISD My focus as ESL Liaison will revolve around enhancing language acquisition, promoting cultural awareness, ensuring academic success, and fostering parental involvement. By focusing on these areas, I will work to create a supportive and inclusive environment for the students and their parents of Smithville ISD. "
SISD is excited to have Mrs. Buentello join the Tiger Family.
