Hello Tiger Families, We are writing to inform you of an incident that occurred Friday evening. An SISD van, carrying our girls powerlifting team, was involved in an accident. All involved were transported to a nearby healthcare facility, and we are glad to report that our students and staff are all safe and no major injuries were sustained. Please join us in gratitude for the safety and health of these young athletes and their coaches.

He comes to school determined to learn and succeed, works hard at everything he does, has amazing behavior, and is a good friend/classmate to everyone that he comes into contact with. LAST DAY TO RESPOND! SISD is exploring the possibility of offering extended care for students who do not qualify for ACE for the 2024-2025 school year. The program would follow the ACE calendar for days of operation. Programming would run from dismissal to 5:30 p.m. Students can be picked up, dismissed with walkers or ride the after school bus home. Congratulations to our Destination Imagination (DI) teams from SJHS! These students competed in their first ever DI competition this weekend in Austin, TX. Team "Hercules" placed 4th in the Engineering category, the "Old School Gamers" placed 5th in the Technical category, and team "Movin' and Groovin'" placed 5th in the Fine Arts category! We are very proud of all of you!

Congratulation to the "Tiger Team"! This group of SES students competed in their first ever Destination Imagination (DI) contest this weekend and placed 1st! They will be advancing to the State DI Competition in Arlington, TX! We are so proud of them!

The Tiger Band is hosting their annual Silent Auction and Chili Supper during their Solo & Ensemble Concert on February 15th from 5p-7p (come-and-go). Please come enjoy some great music and a meal to support our band!

Pep Rally fun yesterday to celebrate the last home basketball games of the season! We heard from two of our Senior players, and Mrs. Berry "won" the pie in the face by receiving the most student votes! The Lady Tigers will be advancing to the playoffs! They play Monday, February 12th, at 6:30pm at Rice Consolidated-Altair against Houston Yates. Come out and support our Lady Tigers!

Several of our students had the opportunity to participate in ESC Region 13's "Thank You Notes" project and tell why they are thankful for the teachers at SISD!
