Thank you for your cooperation.

Smithville ISD is incredibly excited about a new opportunity for our students through Tesla!
The Manufacturing Development Program through Tesla gives students an opportunity to work full-time at Tesla, while also being enrolled in the Advanced Manufacturing Programming at Austin Community College.
There will be three upcoming sessions for our Seniors and parents to meet with Tesla and learn more about the program:
⚙️In-person presentation to seniors: October 21st - SHS
⚙️After-school meeting with students and parents: October 28th at 6:30 PM - SHS
⚙️Online Lunch and Learn session: November 5th at 12:00 PM
We hope you will join us to learn more about this amazing opportunity!

To our incredible coaches — thank you for the countless hours you spend preparing our students, traveling to competitions, and supporting them every step of the way. Your dedication doesn't go unnoticed. It may be a thankless job at times, but today we want you to know: we SEE you, and we truly APPRECIATE you!

Each year, during the week that includes September 17, Texas schools honor Celebrate Freedom Week to highlight the values and ideals on which the United States was founded as well as the sacrifices that were made for freedom in the founding of the country.
Students learn about the intent, meaning, and importance of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, including the Bill of Rights, and examine the relationship between the ideas in these documents and subsequent American history.

Pathways to Success, a postsecondary transition program sponsored by Sam Houston State University, aims to connect rural Texas students with disabilities to education and employment opportunities.
Additional information about the program can be found on the flyer below. Please scan the QR code to complete the participant interest form and connect with a program representative.
Please contact the Special Education Department at 512-237-2487 x7186 if you have any questions regarding this program.

Have a great 3-day weekend!
