If you are involved in band, cheer or athletics, please choose a time that does NOT conflict with your practice times. IMPORTANT: If you are not able to make the July dates for senior portraits, you have a few options. You can make an appointment at Phototexas photography in Austin and take them there. The number is 512-617-7780. We will also hold the final date at school the first week in November.
We are excited to announce the Compensation Plan for the 25-26 school year was approved on Monday with significant pay increases for our staff!

Konner, 2025 graduate of SHS, placed 3rd out of 42 students competing in the SkillsUSA Plumbing competition in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend. We are so proud of his accomplishments this year!

Our Summer Learning program has come to an end! Thanks to the teachers and members of the community who made this a special experience for our young learners!
Sixth Grade SJH student Whitney Yokubaitis was the first student from Smithville to compete at Future Problem Solving's International Competition in Scenario Creative Writing. The event invited thousands of students from hundreds of schools internationally.
Whitney was only one of 28 in her age group from around the world who earned the invitation to compete in this event in 2025. She and her family and coach traveled to Indiana in early June for the International Competition, along with students from Japan, South Korea, France, and Australia, as well as from throughout the USA.
Thanks to our team from Smithville ISD supporting Whitney to experience this event. We didn't place this year, but learned from attending several workshops and events at the conference to prepare and share with our FPS team for next year! We are proud of you, Whitney!

The state assessment results are in for SISD! You should have received an email with your child's specialized code, and will also be receiving a mailed letter.
If you did not receive the email, please double check with your child's campus to ensure we have a good email address on file for you.
Rain or Shine...The child nutrition department will be serving Sun Meals To Go at all our locations today - Lake Thunderbird, MLK Park, and Rosanky Community Center. Please come out at our regular times and pick up your four day meals with a special giveaway today. See you there!
