🎉 Big news, Smithville! 🎉 The Smithville ISD Child Nutrition Department is beyond excited to share that we’ve been recognized for participating in the 2024 Farm Fresh Challenge – and guess what? We’ve earned the Cream of the Crop recognition! 🏆🌟 This couldn’t have happened without our amazing Nutrition team, who put their hearts into creating fun and educational events, not just in our cafeterias but also at our 1st Annual Educational Farmers Market! 🌽🍎 Huge thanks to the incredible #SmithvilleFarmersMarket and #SmithvilleChamber for teaming up with us to make the Farmers Market a success. Together, we’re teaching our students the value of fresh, local, and nutritious foods – one bite at a time! 💚💛 #FarmFreshChallenge #SmithvilleProud #CreamOfTheCrop"

Our 8th graders got a sneak peak at what to expect when they enter High School next year! Students and staff representing our Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways met with students and shared the different opportunities available. They learned about Ag-Mechanics projects, played student-created video games, ate cookies in Culinary Arts, and met Princess the goat...among MANY other things! We can't wait to see which CTE Pathway these students choose for themselves for next year! #TigerPride https://shs.smithvilleisd.org/o/shs/page/cte
