Smithville Independent School District is committed to ongoing communication with all stakeholders. We work to share the exciting stories happening in SISD through the district website, social media, and print publications when possible. The Communications Office supports this commitment to our students and staff as well as parents and our community with an active, dynamic approach that includes:
Informs parents and community members about district educational information and resources.
Maintain positive communications with the community in a proactive manner.
The communications office is responsible for a wide array of initiatives including media relations, parent relations, community relations, and employee communications.
Campus News and Information
Faculty and Staff, we want to share your good news! We count on you to provide timely news and information about student organizations you sponsor, honors received by you or your students, and upcoming events.
Please email the Smithville ISD District Communications Officer, Lindsey Saunders, at lsaunders@smithvilleisd.org to communicate your news.
Media Guidelines
Media representatives working on stories involving the district, our students, our staff, or our facilities, are requested to contact Smithville ISD District (contact information below). District personnel will assist media representatives in obtaining pertinent information, coordinating relevant interviews, and arranging for photo shoots or video footage.
